Graduate School Entrance Exams
Like the SAT and ACT, there are several entrance exams that are required in order to apply to graduate school. Some of the basic exams include the GRE, GMAT, LSAT and MCAT. Below is an explanation of each.

GRE
Graduate Recording Examination- the GRE is a general exam for graduate school. The test assesses your verbal, math and analytical skills. The scoring ranges from 200-800.

GMAT
Graduate Management Admission Test- the GMAT is a required test for graduate level business schools. Much like the GRE, the scoring ranges from 200-800.

LSAT
Law School Admission Test- the LSAT is the required entrance exam to get into law school. The LSAT is approved by the American Bar Assocation and is divided into six parts (1. Two logical reasoning sections 2. Analytical reasoning section 3. Reading comprehension 4. Experimental section 5. Writing sample.) The scoring ranges from 120-180.

MCAT
Medical College Admission Test- the MCAT is the required entrance exam for medical school. It is broken up into four sections (1. Physical science 2. Verbal reasoning 3. Writing sample 4. Biological science.) The scoring ranges from 1-15 for each section and the writing sample is scored from J-T.
